As we all were relaxing a bit and were almost starting our normal daily life thinking that the Corona fear has almost gone, all of a sudden the positive cases started increasing alarmingly.
It seems that like other European countries India may witness a second wave of Corona pandemic and that too with a new strain and new symptoms.
To fight this, primary care like using mask, sanitizer and maintaining social distance has to be practiced in a day to day life. But only doing that will not be sufficient. Boosting, building and maintaining a good immune system is of utmost importance. It is always very essential not to fall ill rather than getting treated after you fall ill. And exactly here, comes in Ayurveda, in which many such medicines are mentioned which helps to maintain our health and increases the immunity of our body.
One of such very useful and popular medicine to boost our immunity is ‘Chyavanprash’ and its a gift to the mankind by Ayurveda for a healthy long life.
The prominent ingredient of Chyavanprash is Amla. In Ayurveda scripts it is mentioned in detail about how Amla should be selected, in which season they should be collected and how they should be steamed using medicinal decoctions. Also the properties and scientific method of preparation is given for all the other 36 herbs which go in the making of Chyavanprash.
We at ‘Dynamic Remedies’ prepare fresh Chyavanprash every year by meticulously following the process described in the Ayurvedic texts. Usually we get fresh Amla from October to January and hence Chyavanprash is made during this time every year and is supposed to be consumed for the whole next year to stay fit.
It’s an age old fact that Chyavan Rishi consumed it regularly and became younger again and hence the name Chyavanprash. This medicine comes under the Rasayan category. According to Ayurveda , Rasayan Chikista means a medicine which you have to consume on a daily basis for a long period of time to maintain your body health.
Regular consumption of Chyavanprash also helps in reducing hair fall, early graying of hair, cough, cold and asthma. It increases oxygen carrying capacity of lungs and also works as a tonic for heart patients. It increases haemoglobin levels and is a very rich source of antioxidants and Vitamin C. So instead of taking Vitamin C tablets, Chyavanprash is a wonderful substitute. Regular consumption keeps away repeated attacks of cough, cold, Sinusitis and other respiratory disorders. As we all know Corona virus affects the lungs and targets the overall respiratory system, Chyavanprash is a wonderful Rasayan which strengthens the respiratory system and boosts our immunity.
Chyavanprash can be consumed by all age group members in the family. Chyavanprash contains oil, ghee and honey, so it acts to maintain the balance of all Tridoshas i.e Vata, Pitta & Kapha in our body. Chyavanprash should be taken with the empty stomach daily morning.
As the well known saying goes ‘OLD IS GOLD’, this tried and tested age old remedy of Chyavanprash is really a boon to mankind in today’s times to boost our immunity.

[ Don’t have anything for half an hour before & after consuming CHYAVANPRASH.]
